Well, at least it had dogs in it. That's worth one of the stars.
We have a quirky artist, a prickly cop, dogs, and a serial killer. While that sounds like a solid 3 star read, it really was barely 2. We get to bounce into the mind of the killer, which was an interesting take on it, but the execution was fairly boring. I forced myself to finish. And color me surprised at the twist ending. No, seriously, I was a little surprised, but I'm not sure I'm surprised enough to read book 2. Those dogs are going to have to take themselves to the dog park. 2 stars.
